HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF HENDRICKS COUNTY HOLDS 2ND ANNUAL 5K WALK/RUN WITH GRANT FROM HENDRICKS REGIONAL HEALTH

Habitat for Humanity of Hendricks County will be holding its 2nd Annual 5K Walk/Run event on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Hummel Park in Plainfield. Registration for walkers and runners is from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. The race will begin at 9:00 a.m.

A $10 minimum registration fee will be charged to benefit Habitat's County-Construction Fund. Currently, the local Habitat affiliate is building homes in Hendricks County. A $500 grant from Hendricks Regional Hospital was awarded to Habitat for the event, demonstrating Hendricks Regional's commitment to promote wellness in the community.

The main sponsor of the 2nd Annual 5K run is House Smart Realty, LLC, located in Plainfield. Families are encouraged to participate in the Walk/Run. To register for the event, participants may mail payments to: House Smart Realty, LLC, 2680 E. Main Street, Suite 118, Plainfield, IN, 46168. Registrations will also be accepted the day of the Walk/Run.
