We realize there are many obstacles that can stand in the way of a family’s health and wellness, and the struggle to provide a home for your family is certainly one. Habitat’s mission aligns nicely with our mission to improve the health of our community. In 2011, more than 100 IU Health West caregivers and family members joined together with community partners for our first Habitat Panel Build here at the hospital. As CEO, it was inspiring and rewarding to see our caregivers, alongside their family and friends, working together in a completely new way to meet a local family’s fundamental need. It is true what they say “when you give, you receive.” This certainly rings true with Habitat.
